Ever since I’ve been in Phoenix, the Lord has just continued to meet my every need. Every day I have food to eat and enjoy, every night I have a soft bed to sleep in. He has given me good health too and a fresh mind to do my training. He has given me lovely new families and friends to take care of me and love me dearly, and a precious church to join for this 6 months. He has given me technology to keep in touch with friends and family back home. He has given me HIS VERY PRESENCE!

God takes such good care of His children! He is a good Father, a VERY good Father. The verse which has meant so much to me lately is Matt 28:20 – “…and behold, I will be with you always, until the end of the age” As the great commission is carried out, there is one who will ALWAYS be with me – my sovereign, loving, wise, good Father. I’m so grateful that it is this God, my Father, who is the one who will be with me and that He did not assign this duty of watching over me to anyone else – it is His very presence and care.  Matthew 7:9-11 – “Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” Surely He delights in taking good care of his children, and will do so all the time, every time!

God? Take care of us humans? Oh, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? (Psalm 8:3-4) This care ought not to be!!! God, CREATOR and sustainer of all things, delighting in taking care of His children and being with us in His love?! May we respond in joyful thanksgiving if we are children of God through Jesus’ gospel, for surely then 1 Thessalonians 1:8-9 will never come to us as we deserve- “…those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,” What a righteous, holy and just God.

What a kind, merciful, patient, loving God – who did not spare His only Son but forsook Him on the cross that those who know God and obey the gospel (that is calling everyone to believe and repent) may NEVER be forsaken by Him!
